I am trying to install Project Server 2003 on Windows 2003 and I am
connecting to a remote server that is hosting SQL 2000 SP3 on Windows 2003 as
well. During the installation I receive an error when attempting to connect
to the database server to create the database. I can only find obsure
references to the issue in other usenet groups. The error reads...
"The Windows locale settings on this computer prohibit a connection to the
database. Change the locale settings to support code page 32434 before
attempting to connect to database..."
I have installed all of the locales on the server that would be running
Project Server. I ran CHCP on the server and it comes back stating that the
active code page is 437. That is the same active code page that is running
on the database server. The SQL Server collation is set to
SQL_Latin1_General_Pre_CP1_CL_AS.
