Install of Office 2000 on an XP Pro machine w/Error 1706

Installed Office 2000 on my XP Pro machine as an
administrator and then updated it from Microsoft office
update page. In the administrator logon I can run Office
Word as normal. But for non-administrator users I'm
prompted with the Installer window followed by an Error
1706 window. To resolve this I changed each user to
administrator then opened Office Word in each user
account and then after being prompt by Office, e.g. the
Installer window would request I insert the Office 2000
SR-1 CD, subsequencely installing the component which
must be required when a user activiates Office for the
first time. Then I returned the users back to the
limited account status, subsequencly Office Word, etc.
operated in the user accounts correctly after that.
However, I can't repeat this same process on the Guest
account, as it can't be an administrator and logging on
as an administrator in the guest account as microsoft
tech notes suggest didn't resolve the problem. I did log
on as administrator to install Office 2000 SR-1 in the
quest account, it did install components. However, it
seem to need the Installer called from Office before the
appropriate components were installed. Therefore every
time I run Office e.g. Word on the guest account I'm
prompted with this Install window followed by this Error
1706 window. Any suggestions? Please email me, thank
you.
