You may also be able to get it back using TweakXP or
TweakUI for Windows XP which is free from the M$ website.
Ofcourse it's only doing visuallt what Roady has
suggested, but you may find it preferable to editing the
registry.

The Outlook icon has been removed from the desktop.
I haven't tested it yet but I think you can get it back
by doing the
following
-open regedit
-create the subkey
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersi
on\Explorer\Deskt
op\NameSpace\{00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}]
-create a new string value named; (default)
-give it the value; Microsoft Office Outlook

Has anybody else had a problem with installing Office
2003
on Windows XP and not getting an icon on the desktop for
Outlook? We install the same package on Windows 2000
and
the icon shows up fine. The icons show up in the Start
menu just fine on both OSs.
