Hi R.D.,
Office 2000 was the last edition that used Service Releases (SRs) rather than Service Packs (SPs). Service Releases update the
product so that the installer sees the installed product as having come from the original CDs that included the Service Release, in
this case, SR1. In general, it should see a combination of your original installation CDs plus the files that the installer kept on
the PC from updating to SR1a as giving you the SR1 product CD.
===================
message | The downloaded file requires the use of Office 2000 SR1 disks. I
| only have Office 2000 disks. I have downloaded and successfully
| install SR1a. How do I get SR3 to install without the SR1 disks? >>
