Hello,

My hard drive fried so I purchased a new computer with Windows XP Home and
Microsoft Works installed. I had been using Office 2000 and would like to
install it on my new system but my Office 2000 CD is an update version so it
will not allow me to install Office 2000 on the new computer.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Show it the previous qualifying product when it asks for it, If you no
longer have the previous qualifying product, you no longer have a valid
license to install the software and must either:

1. Find the previous qualifying product to show when installing and
requested for this information or
2. Purchase a new full version of Office.

Sure wish I knew to keep my previous version of Office when I installed 2000!

Thanks, anyway.
