Install Office 2003 SP2

hi everyone,

i am complete new to this upgrade nightmare.

iv'e downloaded the file named below.
Office2003SP2-KB887616-FullFile-ENU.exe

how do i deploy this via gpo, i know how gpo works and have office 2003
deployed. How do i get .MSI file out of this.

i have extracted the sp2 and all i see is .MSP files, are these used
instead of .MSI file when it comes to updates.?

whats the admin install mean, i have no clue about the terms used, so
please step by step help would be really appreciated.

so can someone please help me to accomplish this upgrade from start to
end..

Hi R,

MS Installer Patch files (.msp) aren't supported for GPO deployments by the MS Installer. MS Office products are built on .MSI
files but updates are patches in .MSP form.

You may want to review the information here on some of the update planning methods for Office 2003 from the Office 2003 resource kit
to see what may be helpful to you.
