Install on 2 Computers

J

Jack Gillis

I am about to convert from Office 2003 to 2007 after using the trial edition
of 2007 that came on my hew HP laptop.

However, I need to be able to install it on my desktop as well as my laptop.
2003's Professional edit license permitted this. What is the minimum
edition of 2007 that will permit the two installations? How about 2010 if I
decide to wait?

Thank you very much.

Yes, Thank you.

I guess I should have asked which license should I purchase for which
edition in order to have 2007 installed on my laptop as well as my desktop?

Sorry about that.

You will need a retail license, not an OEM.

Any retail license of any version of Office will permit the desktop, laptop
installation that you have for Office 2003. An OEM version will not. By
version I mean Pro, Small Business, Ultimate. etc.

Any retail edition, that contains the office components your require

Uninstall any trial & activation asistant, reboot, prior to installing from

Generally amazon.com is cheaper than buying from MS, and you get the media

Thank your very much. That is good news for it is a change from 2003. I
believe only the Pro Version, read expensive, would allow it.

Thanks again.

You can purchase Office Home and Student 2007 for $99 only till September 5
and can install it on 3 computers.

You must wait for minimum of 5 months for purchasing Office 2010.
