Install On Windows 200

I am having trouble installing Project Central 200 on a Window 2000/ SQL 2000
machine with all current SP's.

I have created the database on the SQL server and have chosen the option or
Custom install. When I try to connect to the database I just get a "Can't
connect to database error"
