I did download and install a fresh copy, tried it at least twice.
After I start the install of OPCS.exe I get a pop up box asking for
location of OPCS.msi. I've searched my entire computer and server as
well, even hidden folders etc., but there is no such file anywhere. I
was happy with the way this program worked on an older computer, the
synchronization was a bit more robust as I synch personal contacts as
well as several public folders of clients and other categories.
When you run Opcs.exe, it should expand itself into a temporary folder that
conatins OPCS.msi. The default location for that file is the folder
%temp%\IPX000.TMP. Try running the OPCS.EXE program and at whatever point
it stops, don't click anything, just open Windows Explorer and, in the
Address field, enter %temp% and click Go. You should see the IPXnnn.TMP
folder. double click and see if there's an OPCS.msi file there. If not,
there is a change you don't have permission to write in your own %temp%
folder. If you do see the msi file, copy it somewhere, cancel out of
whatever OPCS.EXE is prompting, then go mack to the msi file you copied,
right-click and choose Install.
