Install Power Point only

tbrady

wife's computer is using Office 97, recently bought office
XP for Students & Teachers (she's both) mainly because she
wanted Power Point 2003, she does not like Word XP, would
rather use Word 97, is there any way I can install only
Power Point and have it work correctly? If I were to
install the full version, is there any way I could keep 97
completly funtional and run XP too?

Hi T.,

You can use a custom installation of MS Office XP and choose
which of the old apps to keep and which of the new ones to
install. You can use more than one version of each app, but
installing Powerpoint from Office XP uses the license for the whole
Office XP set (i.e. it can't be split between computers).

Hi T.,

Yes. Even though you're only installing one app,
you're installing the complete Office core files
set for that version and you can add/remove features
through the Windows Control Panel in Add/Remove Programs
after that.

Bob, Thanks for the reply, do you know if I just install
PP at this time will I be able to install the rest of the
programs (on the same machine)at a later date? >>
