Install Project PRO on the Project Server, OK?

Has anyone experienced any issues with having MS Project Professional
installed on the MS Project Server? the SQL databases are hosted on a
separate SQL machine.

I believe you need to make sure that you install the SAME level of service
pack on both Project Server and Microsoft Project. The current service pack
level for Project Server is SP2a, and for Microsoft Project it is SP2. Hope
