Installing Service Pack 3 to Office 2003 causes Outlook 2003 to no longer be
able to receive email. Outlook will still send email.
The error message, for each account:
Task 'ACCOUNT_NAME - Receiving' reported error (0x80040900) : 'The server
name you entered can not be found on the network (it might be down
temporarily). Please verify that you are online and that the server name is
correct.'
Rolling the system back (using Symantec GoBack, similar in this respect to
Windows System Restore) to effectively remove SP3 eliminates the problem.
Operating system is Windows XP Pro SP2.
Any ideas about how to keep SP3 and fix this Outlook problem?
