Install SP2 ONLY for InfoPath 2003

ps

Hi

I would like to install SP2 but only for the InfoPath 2003 component of
Office 2003.
Is there a way of doing this?

Hi P.S.,

If you're saying that the only Office 2003 series product installed is Infopath 2003 then you can use the Office 2003 Service Pack 2
(SP2) for updating that product.

There aren't separate Service Packs for the individual apps, nor can you selectively apply the Office SP2 to just one app as it
updates files shared by all of the Office 2003 apps.

Hi Bob

I had already installed Office 2003 but not the InfoPath app. Office SP2 had
also been installed. My problem is when I installed the InfoPath app it does
not have SP2 installed and I need this to be installed. This has to be done
for everyone in my organisation. Is the only way to do this to redeploy SP2?

Hi P.S.,

Unfortunately even though the files for SP2 may already be there the apps installed after the service pack aren't aware of them so
doing a recache would be one way to apply it. The technique used for updating can depend on how you deployed and the update
approach you've chosen.
