install without cd

I have the cd and product key for Office 2003 but I do not have a cd-rom
drive on my computer. I need to reinstall Office, is it possible to do this
without using the cd?

Reinstall? Hmmm... I imagine you reinstall without using the cd the
same way you originally installed without using the cd.

Like garfield, I'm curioua how you load anything without a CD drive
but............ Looks like you're going to be investing in a new drive
because without it, you're not going to be able to install Office.

most of the time when
office is initially installed,
a the setup files and stored
in a special folder.

then when you initiate a
"detect and repair", it will
use those setup files to
rebuild office.

it is unclear why your
installation of office
needs to be reinstalled,
but there is always a
chance that reinstalling
office will not overcome
the difficulties.

however, you can use
office in safemode as well.

if office functions perfectly
in safemode, then it is likely
you can tune up windows so
that office can work in normal
mode again.

ultimately, you really need
to get a cd device or maybe
borrow one from a working
computer.

You'll need either an internal or external CD Drive in order
to install Office 2003 from the Office 2003 CD.

Nope, somewhere along the way the files contained on the CD need to be
transferred to the hard drive. You will need to either use a "portable"
CD drive, network to a computer with a CD drive or create a mountable
image from the CD on another PC and move it to this PC with a USB thumb
drive and then use a virtual CD software. But NO, you can't do it
without the CD.
