installation and access

I have Office XP and when I try to open it, it says that it needs to be
installed. I do not have the CDs for it. Is there anyway that I will be able
to get around this problem with out the proper CDs?

Also, I have all the current updates, according to windows update. Will they
still work if I cannot open the program? (and it says that I have activated
the program)
