Has anyone experienced these issues?
I was working with a client where their IT dept installed Project Server -
they have hooked up to Active Directory to create user accounts. Their
installation appears to be fine apart from a few anomalies:
When succesfully creating issues, risks or documents using Windows
SharePoint Services no icons appear in either the Project Centre or Project
Views in Project Web Access.
With people added to the Resource Managers group they can see Enterprise
Resources listed in the Build Team from Enterprise dialogue box but cannot
edit or "recruit" resources to their teams, in the majority of cases they
can only access their own resource information.
We created a crude RBS and also modified a Category to allow members to view
information about resources. This did not appear to resolve the issue.
They have created their own custom group - Project Administrators, we
checked the credentials of this group and could find no settings that could
cause a conflict in terms of accessing information or using functionality -
there are no "Deny" permissions set anywhere on their instance of Project
Server.
They have set the update method to Actual work per time period and at
present do not use Managed Time Periods - individual resources can update
some tasks but not others even though the tasks reside in the same project,
the tasks are visible in their timesheet "all tasks not current tasks
highlighted" and all tasks have been republished at the same time.
Delegated tasks - people remaining as the Lead are not receiving updates
even though the delegation has been processed by the manager of the project.
