Trying to install Office Home/Students 2007 on new Dell laptop with
Vista Home Premium. Early in installation get error message "Setup
cannot find Excel.en-us/ExcelLR.cab file" and it shows a file dialog box
to choose the right directory to "Browse to valid installation source."
I have no idea what to choose. I THOUGHT I PURCHASED THE VALID
INSTALLATION SOURCE. This is very frustrating as I expect newly
purchased software to correctly install on new computer. If this doesn't
install on new computer where the heck will it install? What can I do to
correct this problem? HELP!!!! Thanks,
dpdave

Your installation source is your cd/dvd drive

BTW Did you uninstall any trial version & activation assistant first?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried that and it keeps coming back t
the same dialog box with the same error message.
Don't know that there is a trial version on the computer and not sur
what activation assistant is

You examine your Dell documentation to asertain whether it was supplied with
a trial, or you look in Vista's version of Add/Remove software
Or simply type Word in Vista search
