Installation CD

Each time a user of mine tries to open Outlook (or Excel
or Word for that matter) a screen appears running the
Windows INstaller. Then she's told that "The feature
you're trying to use is on a CD rom. Please insert Office
2000 SR-1..." Is this because an item with MS Office 2000
has been deleted? Each time I inserted the CD rom (to
humor her the laptop) whatever needed to be installed
didn't run. This message continues to pop up.

At each attempt to open an Office app, the following event
appears in the Application Log:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: MsiInstaller
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1001
Description: Detection of product '{00010409-78E1-11D2-
B60F-006097C998E7}', feature 'EXCELFiles' failed during
request for component '{CC29E96F-7BC2-11D1-A921-
00A0C91E2AA2}' Data:

Has anyone seen this behavior? Is there a way to fix it
without uninstalling and re-installing the entire Office
suite?
