Installation error when trying to install Handheld Sync file

Hi--I recently updated to Mac Office 2004, and updated everything to
the latest-greatest from the MS web site. I had my old Entourage and
Palm sync-ing just fine, but of course, I have to have a new engine or
whatever it is to sync with the new Entourage. So, I download the
installer, it runs and gives me the following error: "The installation
failed because Microsoft Component Plugin was not found." Here's the
kicker: I am looking at the "missing" file right now. I've tried to do
the installation a few times, always with the same error. All four
MSapps seem to be working correctly. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I'm running OS10.4.10, Entourage 11.3.6 (Word 11.3.8, Excel 11.3.7,
and PPT 11.3.5).--thanks!

You're probably trying to install the version for Entourage X. instead, on
your hard drive, go to /Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional
Tools/, and launch the "Handheld Sync Installer".
