Installation Error?

Whenever I try to install on my system (Windows XP Pro, SP1) I get this
error:

--------------------------------------------
Error 2721. An internal error has occurred.
(VerifyUnicodeInstallPathNameOk)
--------------------------------------------

Does anyone have an idea what's causing this? I'm stumped, and I can't even
file an email support request with MS because until I install it, I don't
get a product ID.

At what point does this occur? When the install is decompressing the
files?

Are you installing from a CD or from a downloaded copy? If you have
downloaded OneNote from MS' website, try clearing your cache in your
browser and download again. You might have a corrupted download.

This occurs if I click on Setup.exe or on the MSI file directly on the CD.

It's an install from the MS CD itself.

About the only thing I can think of that might possibly be screwing things
up is that I've got Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 on this machine - so I've got
MSXML 6 on here. But I can't see why that'd screw up the path verification.

Not really. I've installed it from the downloadable version instead, and
just entered the product key from the back of the box. That worked :)
