Installation Errors - O2k on Windows XP

On upgrading to Windows XP, I find that I can neither
migrate my existing O2k installation to the XP-based
machine using wizards, nor complete a clean install from
CD to my XP machine. I note the following error
message: 'DLGCANCL.EXE is not a valid Win32 application'
among several others.

I applied all appropriate service packs from 1a to 3 to
the existing application running under ME; but on
attempting to open the migrated application under XP am
informed that the 'expected version of Office 2000 was
not found'.

Is there a way to create a new installation that will
circumvent these errors? I have tried applying the
patch 'Errors.mst' in the indicated folder prior to
migrating, but this has not helped.

Can anyone suggest whether it is feasible to slipstream
the various updates into a new ISO and if so, will this
overcome the inability of XP to correctly read my
existing o2k cd's 1 & 2. I get as far as entering my
license number, then after a few moments the whole
installation folds due to 'cannot read' or 'is not a
valid..' or 'verify that the file XXX exists and is
accessible' messages.

Thank You!!
