I have an Enterprise copy of Office 2007 from my University and have
installed it on my laptop (no problems) but when I try to install in on the
desktop machine at home, (same operating system, Vista ultimate 32), the
installation gets part way through and stops asking me to browse to the
location of the onenote.en-us\onotelr.cab file. It is on the disk, I browse
to it, I can copy it off the disk onto the hard disk and point it at the hard
disk version but it repeatedly says "invalid location". I have only just
upgraded from XP to Vista on this home machine and it has installed all
updates as far as I can see.
I had a look on the web for a solution and there were some reports of this
as a problem and a patch from Microsoft - but this was a long time ago (Dec
2006 I think) and I can not find anything to help with this now.
1. Has anyone else come across this as a problem?
2. What should I do about it?
Many thanks.
