Installation hurdle

Hi.

For a grad. class, our professor gave us a temp. version of
MS Project 2000 that was supposed to last 60 days. Mine
has expired after 1 week.

I removed the program and reinstalled from a new CD.
However, I still get the box that reads "this
version...expired".

Called MS, spoke w/ my professor & waiting to hear back
from the Univ. helpdesk. In short, no luck.

Any thoughts, wisdom, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks and have a great day,

- John

Someone here may know how the the detection system for trials works, but
basically it's probably reasonably secure. It could be that unbeknown
to you your computer had a test version previously installed. Maybe
completely reformatting XP would fix this ... I don't know. Or maybe
you can pick up a test version of Project 2002 (which is basically the
same). My best advice is to take the advice of the professor and
university as they were the ones who gave this to you. They have a big
role in fixing this problem.
