Installation of a Form in Windows 2003 Server

Mike

I have a Infopath form that is required to be trusted. The infopath SDK kit
includes instructions on creating a installation version of the form by using
the command RegForm, which when installed on a windows XP workstation, gives
me the trusted form installation that I am looking for.

I tried to install the form on a Windows 2003 member server and I get an
error code of 0x8008005, which points to the windows installer program as
being the problem. I have upgraded the windows installer to the latest
version and still no luck.

I do have infopath installed on the Windows 2003 member server and service
pack 1 is also applied. Our intent is to use terminal services to allow
individuals to fill out forms. Do to the nature of the code inside of the
Form, the form has to be trusted in order to work.

The terminal services is how our remote users currently access thier
information.

Hi Mike,

If you don't generate a msi to deploy on your server, but copy your xsn as
well as your regform.exe on your server, can you register the form there
directly?
