Installation of BCM does not complete....

Hi All,

My installation of BCM never completes. I get 99% done and then the process
begins rolling back with no explanation.
I've scanned the forum but not found an answer to the problem. Any one have
this problem and how did you fix it?

XP SP2 Office 2003 SBE

Hi,

Here are the three error codes from the event viewer. They seem to suggest
a registry issue but I'm sure.

Installing the performance counter strings for service MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM
(%2) failed. The Error code is the first DWORD in Data section. LoadPerf 3009

The performance counter explain text string value in the registry is
incorrectly formatted. The bogus string is Statistics related to SQL Servers
buffer manager, the bogus index value is the first DWORD in Data section
while the last valid index values are the second and third DWORD in Data
section. LoadPerf 3002

The performance counter name string value in the registry is incorrectly
formatted. The bogus string is 4820, the bogus index value is the first DWORD
in Data section while the last valid index values are the second and third
DWORD in Data section. LoadPerf 3001
