installation of MSWord2000 Dutch failed on US PC with WinXP

I am a Dutchman now living in the US. On my new US computer with WinXP I
installed my "old" MS Word 2000 Dutch. Installation seemed okay, with program
well visible in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office. It does not open
when I try to start it. Funny enough the Dutch spelling checker works OK when
I use Outlook Express !!
Maybe I need some extra file to get this Netherlands version running on a US
machine with english Windows ?
