Installation of Publisher 2002 on my new computer

I recently upgraded to a new computer. I would like to install Publisher on
this new computer, but it rejects my product key. Can I uninstall Publisher
from my old computer and then install it on the new computer and if so, how?

Does it reject your product key, or does activation fail?

If it rejects your product key (the 25-character key you have to type in
during setup), the problem does not lie with having Publisher installed on
your old computer, but rather that the product key is invalid.

Are you sure you are typing the key correctly?

Was this version of Publisher preinstalled on your old computer?

I found I had the wrong paperwork and therefore the key was invalid. Thank
you for your help, it kept me from spinning my wheels further.
