Installation of Service Pack 1 for Word 2002

I am having problems installing the service pack 1 for Word 2002 because I do
not have Word from MS Office, I have Word from MS Works Suite 2004. I keep
getting an unsuccessful installation because it says I do not have a certain
CAB file. Isn't MS suppose to offer us the support we need in Works too???
why can't I get this file for free to install on my computer so I am able to
do the update???? I was able to do an update of Service Pack 3 using my CD
from Work Suite 2004 without any problems. Does anyone know how to do
this??? where can I get these CAB files for free???

It's not quite clear what the specific problem is

If you already have installed Office XP (2002 apps)
SP3 then you don't need to install Office XP's SP1.

There isn't a separate Service Pack for Word nor should
it make a difference if you're using Word from Office
or standalone (Works).

When you're asked for the Word CD (CD#1 of Works Suite)
in that dialog box what is the name of the CD being asked
for in 'Use Feature From' ?

What version of Windows are you using?
What is the exact error message you get?
Can you complete 'detect & repair' from the
Help menu in Word?

If you purchased MS Works retail you can call MS for
support. If you purchased it with the PC then the
PC maker is the normal support channel although you
can order the Service Packs from MS online or by phone.
