Installation of SP2 needs SP1 .msi

T

the frustrated one

How does one get around the need for Visio2002 to reference the SP1 .msi file
when installing sp2?

I do not have an sp1 disk, so that avenue is out.

Thanks

sp1 was the re-logoing of visio to microsoft and AFAIK it isn't being
distributed anymore. You had to be there when it happed to get a copy of
it....
opitons : live with what you have, find somebody who has it and is willing
to share (it was serial numbered as I remember), update to a newer version
(could be dangerous if you really need some of the stuff that they dropped).
None of them pretty.

may have been, it was in 2002 that they removed the vent option and got
serious about tagging the tool to the development side. Most of the time
that we get a request for an sp1 fix it's because of the relogoing problem,
so I may not have paid enough attention.
tks for catching it,
