Installation Options for Project 2003 Server

S

Seth Wilson

I have purchased 2003 Server and wanted to know what my options for
installing Project Server in our company.

First: We have SBS 2003 Standard. I have already that are issues with SBS,
even though some people have had theres to work. We are currently using
sharepoint and OWA on the SBS and Project cannot interfere with it.

We currently only have 1 server. If Project Server is not a viable option on
the SBS, can it run on a Windows XP Pro box? Or must it have 2000/2003
server?

Thank you in advance for your advice!

Never install untested software on a production system!

Never install untested software you never have installed or used on a
production system!!

I am sorry you only have one server; but MS Project Server does not install
by just sticking in the CD and hitting return, return, return, so you are
asking for trouble if you do.

And no, MS Project Server requires MS Windows 2003 server with IIS6 and MS
SQL 2000. It does not install on XP or on 2000.
