Installation Problem

Dana B.

I recently had to change hard drives due to a h/w failure. I installed
Windows XP, and Office 2003. I am an administrator on the machine.

Office seems to be working fine. But tonight I tried to install Publisher
Wizard, and going to the Add / Remove and Installing new feature I get an
error. It starts to install, then rollsback, and gives an error:
Installation ended prematurly. Unable to install due to a fatal error.

I also notice last week I couldn't install Adobe Reader, but I initially
thought it was just that app.

What could be the cause?

Resolved -- we found a "Rollback" registry key related to .net framework that
once deleted, allowed everything to work just fine. Looks like a failed app
installation left it behind.
