Installation problem

Adam

I've tried installing an updated Microsoft Office on my
laptop, but i'm having a problem with Word. I uninstalled
the previous versions before installing. I start
installation, enter authentication code etc and it
installs. When i open Word, however, it asks me for the
Authentication code again and when i enter it this time it
says it's invalid (i've tried it a few times - i'm
definitely entering it correctly) The other Office
programmes (Excel etc) install and open fine.

The Laptop was an ex-display one if that's relevant. It's
running Windows XP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What version of Office did you install?

Was Word previously installed on the laptop as part of Works Suite? If
so then the Word installation could be separate from the Office
installation. Check Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel and see
if there is an entry for Word. If so, uninstall it and try installing
it from the Office installation.

Hi,
You have to reactive you Microsoft Word,to do this, when
you getting the message "Inavalid" and activate screen
message. Select activate by Telephone, then select your
country name. It will display the contact phone number in
the screen. Callup this number, they will guide you. What
should do.
