Installation Problems

I recently upgraded from Vista 32 to Vista 64. I had no problems installing
my valid copy of Office Pro 2003 and then upgrading to Small Business 2007.
After it downloaded the updates from windows update I got an error and
Outlook disappeared. All the rest of the programs were there but the icons
for outlook disappeared and I couldnt find it in any folder (really wierd).
So I uninstalled everything (including office 2003) and then tried to
reinstall from scratch. 2003 loaded fine but then when I went to install 2007
it said I didnt have an upgradeable copy of Office on my machine (it worked
just fine the first time). I used up my free support from MS over a year ago
when I got Vista and I found them not very helpful anyway. Can someone shed
some light on this? I used the windows uninstall tool you can download from
the MS site and removed all everything I could that had anything to do with
Office but still get the error. Am I missing a file or regsitry key I should
be deleting (i manually went in and removed the MS office entries).

You are missing a valid version of Office that you can Upgrade since you most probably you have the Upgrade versions Office 2003 Pro and Small Business 2007

I have a valid Full copy of Office 2003 (I had done the install before the
error and was able to upgrade). I wiped everything and formatted my drive and
reinstalled Vista (i was in process of doing same thing when error happened
anyway so I didnt lose anything).

If you have Upgraded before then there was some version of Office installed. Is there any version of Office installed at present that you are trying to Upgrade
