Installation Question

B

Bruce T. Campbell

I own MS Project Version 4 on diskette. I haven't used it for several years.
I would like to install in on my computer for an upcoming Project I need to
manage. The problem is, I do not have a floppy drive in my computer.

Is there a way to install the program? I would prefer not to buy a 1.44
floppy if I don't have to but I will if that's the only method available for
installation.

Any suggestions

TIA Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Try buying a CD version (Project 98 or later) from an auction site like
eBay - could be much cheaper than a floppy drive.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

I'll second Glen's advice - there have been a lot of changes and
improvements since Project version 4! If you're going to spend any money at
all, you'll be far better served getting a more recent version on CD than
buying a floppy to install your (now archaic) release. If you don't want
that approach, perhaps you can borrow a USB external floppy from someone.
Targus and others make external USB drives that sell for about $50..
