Installation/startup error with InfoPath 2003

I had to reload a client's laptop, and am having trouble getting InfoPath
going on it again. I had reloaded it with XP SP2 and Office Small Biz Ed 2003
SP2, and she apparently had bought InfoPath 2003 as a standalone disc
previously. She tried to reload InfoPath herself and installation seems to go
fine, but when you start the program you get the splash screen, and then a
box that says "Installing: Microsoft Office InfoPath feature" for a few
seconds, and then nothing. The box closes, the splash screen goes away, and
InfoPath never starts up. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling,
repairing, applying Office 2003 SP2 again (so that InfoPath gets updated),
running MS updates after that to get any other updates, etc. I can't figure
it out and searching online hasn't turned up much either. Any ideas or help?
Thanks.

Well I seem to have figured it out, or at least a way to fix it. Must have
been something to do with installing it after Office 2003 SP2 was already
applied. I had to uninstall InfoPath 2003 completely, uninstall Office 2003
completely, reinstall them both from disc, and then redo SP2 + other updates.
Seems to be working now.
