Installation to second computer

I purchased an imac about 18 months ago and also Office: Mac v.x.

A few months I purchased a Power Book. The imac is registered in my name and
the power book is registered in my wife's name.

I tried to install the Office: Mac v.x into the power book but the Test
Drive version that came with the computer installed instead. Now that the
Test Drive trial period has expired and Office is not working I am not sure
what to do. Do I uninstall the Test Drive version and then install the copy
I purchased 18 months ago? Or, so I just install without uninstalling? Is
the fact that both computers are registered to different persons a problem?

Run the Office Remover application on the Office v.X install CD. Install
Office, then the 10.1.2, 10.1.4 and 10.1.5 updaters from Mactopia
Downloads:

http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx

then repair permissions using the Disk Utility application.

No, although your license says the installation on the laptop should be
for your exclusive use. Note that you will not be able to open Office
apps on both the laptop and the desktop at the same time as long as they
are networked (for that you'd need a second license).
