I've just bought a new Mac and as the old one was obsolete thought it was ok to transfer the old copy of Office 08 onto my new machine, as I would only be using the one copy on one machine.

It wouldn't let me, so I went out and bought a new copy of Office 08.

Despite uninstalling and reinstalling several times, it never gives me the opportunity to enter the new product key. I'm stuck.

This is getting quite desperate now as I need Office for work. Any help much appreciated.

BTW, if you do not update Office and try to open your Entourage Identity,
you will get this error:

"This Identity Cannot Be Opened With This Version of Entourage"

This message usually means, for example, any Identity saved with a 12.1.0 or
later version will not open in 12.0.0 or 12.0.1. Since there was a database
format change in 12.1.0 (SP1), Entourage 12.0.0 or 12.0.1 cannot open a
database saved in the later version.
