My son just Purchased Office Professional Edition 2003 from his school. When we try to install the program we get "Error 1606. Could not access network location D. I am using XP Home Edition. Does anybody have any ideas on how to get this to install. Thanks.....Mike

And is D a network drive? If so, why aren't you installing locally?

It does not give me a chance to choose where to install it. I put the disk in the cd drive and it auto starts and comes up with the error code.

You have not answered the question - is D (which is obviously your CD drive)
local or remote?
