Installed Norton Internet Sec. now Outlook doesn't work

I have a compaq presario 4550 desktop.
New Motherboard installed a month ago.
Installed/downloaded Norton Internet Security a week ago.
Outlook opens but no longer works. When I click on
send/receive I get a message saying "The operation
failed. An object could not be found."

Any ideas?

Start Outlook in safe mode by Start>Run>"outlook.exe /safe" (sans quotes)
and run "Detect and Repair" from under the help menu in Outlook.

What didn't work? It wouldn't start in safe mode, or D&R made no
difference?

Thanks for your help.

I started Outlook in safe mode, and rand D & R. Restarted
computer upon completion and yet problem still exists.

Any other ideas?

You don't say what version of Outlook, but it sounds like your profile is
corrupted. If OL 2002, check out this KBS article for info on how to set up
a new profile.
