Installed Office 2003 and no longer see old emails

When I purchased my PC a year ago it had Outlook Express
pre-installed. I just acquired and installed Office 2003
Student/Teacher edition, and all my old emails are gone.
Can I get them back?

Thanks. -JP

If not, is there an installation option so I don't erase
my wife's & kid's old emails? I haven't set up Outlook
2003 for them yet.

they are in express - use the option to export from OE to OL.

If they are exported, will the originals disappear from OE, or will they
remain and *copies* of them appear in OL?
