Installed Office 2003 Pro. OEM over Office 2000 Pro by mistake....

I installed Office 2003 Professional OEM on my Dell laptop and then attempted
to upgrade my desktop from Office 2000 Professional and got an activation
error message. After further review, apparently I needed RETAIL version to
do this. At this point, when I open 2003 Applications it asks to activate
and I have 48 opens left until features are disabled. I have no problem
purchasing a retail version to finish this install...but how would this
process be done? Since I did an upgrade, Office 2000 was deleted. I'd assume
once I get the RETAIL version of 2003 Professional, pop it in, and select
active? Or am I going to need to uninstall Office 2003 Professional OEM and
reinsall Office 2003 Professional RETAIL

Suggestions?

Thank You

Use the activate by phone method. There are no Upgrade versions of OEM
products, so the Office 2003 that you have will work just fine.

I have the same problem. I try to activate MS word and it deleted the version
that came with my computer and now I can't activate the one that they
installed. I have a great suggestion: get a MAC
