Installed Office 2008, now want to revert to '04 version of Entourage

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

I installed Office 08, before I found out that the new version of Entourage would not sync with my Blackberry. So, reloaded Office 2004. Now when I try to open Entourage 04 it says that "this identity cannot be opened with this version of Entourage". So, reloaded 08 and I looked into the Switch identity option of the Entourage menu, but could not figure out how to switch back to my 04 version of Entourage. Any ideas out there? Syncing is very important to me.
If I can regain this functionality using Entourage 04, may I still use the 08 versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPt?

When you installed Entourage 2008, it upgraded your Mail Database to the new
format. Entourage 2004 can't read the new format.

You need to restore your Entourage 2004 database from your backup. If you
ask in the Entourage group, they will tell you how.

Yes, you can use any of the 2004 programs alongside their 2008 counterparts
with no trouble. Except Entourage. You have just found out why you can't
run two versions of Entourage concurrently :)

Entourage synching ought to be a lot better after the service pack that is
due out in a few weeks.

Cheers
