installed officexp 2002 but cannot start outlook - new machine

i installed office 2002 on a brand new machine with windows xp. i am not able
to start outlook.
any advise

i uninstalled the trial version of office 2003 and installed office 2002. all
other softwares i.e. word, excel, ppt work but outlook does not even open up
it says "unable to open your default e-mail folders. could not opend the item
try again" and when i hit "ok" it gives the message " would u like to open
your default file system folder instead?" click on "yes" takes me to the
local C drive and hitting "no" closes the outlook window altogether

I presume you used add & remove programs to get rid of the trial version? hav
eyou tried a registry cleaner? It sounds like something is left over from
the trial version that is causing the issue.
