Installed OneNote, now Excel will not work

Hi,

I installed OneNote this past weekend and now Excel, along with a few other
programs, will not work.

When I try to open Excel I get the following error message:

Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Professional: The feature you are using is on a
CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the Office 2000
disk and press Ok.

This problem began after I installed OneNote and I have also noticed
problems opening up a few other programs. Why is this? Is there a way I can
get Excel working again without having to reinstall it (Excel was installed
on my laptop by my work so I don't have a copy of the disk myself)? Do I
need to uninstall and reinstall OneNote?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would try a Detect and Repair from Excel.

I don't know offhand why OneNote would cause this (I'll concede that the
timing is suspicious) - maybe some shared components were reset to "run
from CDROM" when you installed OneNote?

If the Detect/Repair does not work, resetting all options in Office to
"Installed Locally" should fix this, but this will require the original
CD.
