Installed the TOC powertoy but no cigar

W

Wickiup

Downloaded and installed the OneNote Powertoy Table of Contents.
It shows up on the Tool bar and is noted in Tools>Options> Add Ins

What is the key to making a TOC with this Powertoy?
I am not sure what to click on when I open a section to get a TOC.
Once I click on the TOC button it dims out but nothing happens.

It would appear to be a handy gadget if I could only master the thing.

Thanks

It went through a rigamorole talking about it and indicated it had installed
it.

Will check further

Well, I have been all this time uninstalling and reinstalling the Powertoy
but it will not put the .NET programmability thing in the OneNote directory.

Searches for .NET programmability in Google do not take me to a page to
download/install it.

What am I missing here?

Hmm, it gets worse as I move along here.
This is a pretty new system and I have just loaded Office 03 then loaded
Student and Home Office 07 or whatever it is called over the 03 version to
get OneNote.

I do not find NET framework anywhere either. I assume I need this loaded
first in order for it to call up NET Programability so which version of NET
Framework do I need for the 07 programs to function??

Thank you

Okay folks I just installed the NET framework 3.5, did a couple of
uninstal/install routines with the Powertoy and can find no reference to
this NET Programability thing to be installed.

On further search I find reference to .NET Framework only in Control
Panel>Add/Remove Programs but not anywhere else on my system.

Does the fact I run XP Home have any bearing on this?

If I were to start all over what would be the steps to take?

Thank you

Have you run Menu: Help-Office Diagnostics on your OneNote application?

Yes, I did.

Uncanny thing is the tests were all okay but when addressing the suggested
support pages OneNote is not mentioned.

For those of you who have successfully loaded and ran this Powertoy just how
did you find and install the required .Net Programability file?? I have yet
to find any mention of a location or workable source.

It seems to me that you've gotten off track a bit; there's no file you need
to check for. Are you sure you read through item #1 on this page:
http://blogs.msdn.com/johnguin/arch...biggest-pain-points-we-are-investigating.aspx

You simply want to enable .NET support by reconfiguring OneNote, and you do
that through Add/Remove Programs > OneNote > select Change > select Add or
Remove Features > expand Microsoft Office OneNote - and at this point you'll
see the same thing as the screen shot in the page above.

I realize you may have done that, but it wasn't clear to me from a previous
post that you actually had, so I'm just double-checking that first.
