Thanks to Pete Lees, I was able to get visual basic help
to work. Now the problem is that whenever I search for a
word, command, etc. I can see the installer start (just a
flash) and then goes away.
Also, I have two profiles on my laptop. One profile is
for home use. The other profile is at work where I
connect to a network. It is the profile I use at work
that is giving me the problem.
Any clue why the installer would try to run every time I
change the search or for that matter, whenever I click on
a related topic in the search drop down box? I have even
removed visual basic help (this is confirmed when I go to
add/remove components and it shows the visual basic help
file is not installed) but I can still use help in visual
basic editor. There must be something leftover from when
I upgraded from Office 2000.
I am running Windows XP SP-1 and Office XP SP-2.
Thanks for any insights you can provide.
