Installer runs every time starting Access

System: Win XP SP2
Word 2002 installed from Works Suite 2003
Access and Excel intalled from Office 2000

Updates:
Updated Office with SR1a - got an error 1328 message about not being able to
patch a file - assumed it referred to the Word 2002 and chose "Ignore".
Installation proceeded as successful - version then showed as SR1.

Updated Office with SP3 - Installation initially unsuccessful.
Then renamed Access files as per instructions on download page - however I
only had 2 files to rename, not 3.
Downloaded and ran installation - think I might have got the error message
again - chose ignore again and it ran through to completion succesfully.
Excel now opens as version sp3.

HOWEVER when attempting to open Access, Windows Installer starts, asks for
CD, then continues installing and get error message again - choose IGNORE
again and after some more installing Access starts up. It shows as SP3. This
happens every time.

Please - how can I fix so that Access opens without having to run through
Windows Installer each time?

If there is no fix, is it safe to uninstall Access and Reinstall or is it
really screwed now?

OK I'VE FIXED THIS

I checked in the 1033 folder under Office for the 3 access files that had to
be renamed (Acwzlib.mde, Acwzmain.mde and Acwztool.mde) and found one of them
had not been re-installed with the upgrade - the renamed "old" version was
still there - I renamed this to Acwzlib.mde and this fixed it.

Check the bottom of thsi page for details about how Access needs to be
modified prior to O2000 sp3 update:
