Okay here is the full story...
Using VB6.0 and compiling on Win2000. Made app and
install package. Installed on other windows2000 and XP
machines ran fine. Recently made an update to app but
using my XPHome Machine to compile. Company installed app
and then tried to open one of the windows in my app and
the following error showed up...
"Microsoft Access 2000 Runtime
Error 1309: Error reading from file 'C:\Program
Files\Microsoft
Office\ART\PFiles\MSOffice\Office\MSO7FTP.exe'
Verify the file exists and that you can access it."
Now this happens before anything on that form that they
try to open executes. What I did was rename
my 'MSO7FTP.exe' file and then ran the app like I always
have before on my machine and opened that form and it
came up with that <Office install Thing> Gathering
required information. I go ahead and click cancel and
then my form opens just fine and wont do it again until
you shutdown the app start again.
Now They also have Office XP on there Windows XP Pro
machine.
I have 2 seperate computer that it runs fine on as long
as that MSO7FTP.exe file is there. Mine are..
Windows XP Home Both
Office 2000 on one
just Word2002 on one
My Visual Studio is 6.0 and I have service pack 5.
Any help on this would be GREATLY appreciated.
