I have XP on my computer. I tried installing Office 07 but the DVD just spins
in the drive. What am I doing wrong? Please help.

Maybe a knackered CD Drive? Try cleaning the CD. Office 2007 installed
perfectly OK here on XP...

Try Start, My Computer and what do you see for the DVD drive? It is
possible that something is wrong with your install DVD or with the drive, or
that they just don't get along well. Sometimes there are alignment
problems, that only surface with some DVDs. Is it a DVD drive? If you can
open the DVD and see the files on it, can you run the Setup program?

Did you uninstall XP before installing 07?

Ahhhh. You meant OFFICE XP and NOT Windows XP. You need to be more specific.
What OS are you running on? Office 2007 will only install on XP SP2 or
Vista....

I apologize.... this isn't something I'm real familiar with. I have XP SP2.
I've previously ran the temporary version you can get off line (2007). Not
sure if that makes a difference or not. I didn't uninstall XP... I'm almost
afraid to.

Well you certainly need to uninstall the trial version. Then try again.

The trial version is uninstalled. I'm so sorry for causing all the confusion
here. The trial version is uninstalled. I have XP S2. When I tried to install
Office 2007 the DVD just spins and the light blinks continuously. I have not
uninstalled XP. I'm wondering what I may be doing wrong.

Sorry, I had to ask, are you able to examine the dvd in explorer?
You dont have any minimised window when you insert the dvd?
Have you tried the dvd in another PC?
