Installing a Macro

Hi folks,
I want to install a macro in myproject.mpp. Use to the way installing
macros in Excel I placed it first in a module in the file project.mpp
-- the macro showed up in the macro selection dialog prefixed by the
file name but was disabled to be selected for running.
Then I read in this use group posts suggesting to install macros in
GLOBAL.MPP. I played around in recording macros, all were installed in
global.mpp.
I do not like to put local and task-dependent macros for all user
accessable to a global file; more I prefere problem-specific
distributions.
Nevertheless I moved my macro from myproject.mpp to global.mpp - but
the macro did not showed up in the selection dialog.

Is MSP soooo different in installing macros from Excel?
I appreciate any clue to get a macro running only in myproject.mpp

Michael,

The install of a macro in MS Project is quite the same as in Excel. Did you
tried to get down the security level ?:
Tools / Macro / Security
Then restart MS Project

Hope this helps,

Hi Gérard
yes, I played around with the security settings - no improvement.
What wonders me is the name of the disabled macro in the macro
selection dialog: prefixed by full file name
